1August 10th, 2013 - Clay resumed competition with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) over the weekend with a trip to Timberline Speedway (Corley, Texas) for a scheduled, doubleheader at the 1/4 mile oval.

On Friday night a field of 18 competitors registered for action, and via preliminary action Fisher earned the 9th starting spot for the 30 lap, $2,000-to-win feature. Passing would be difficult in the main event, and as a result Clay was only able to manage a 9th place finish.

Saturday's $2,000-to-win program at the facility fell victim to rain.

2August 6th, 2013 - As the top voter earner in the FANS Fund Clay Fisher made the long tow to Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wisconsin) for the opening night of the 26th Annual USA Nationals at the 3/8 mile oval on Thursday evening

A strong field of 52 entries registered for battle, and Fisher would find himself earning the 6th starting spot for his heat race via time trials. The rest of the night would be an uphill struggle as he ultimately fell short of qualifying for the feature via heat race and b-main action as his night came to an early end.

On Friday evening preliminary action was held for the $10,000-to-win finale, and shock issues would plague him to a last place finish in his heat race, which left him starting deep in a b-main on Saturday night. While he advanced a few spots in his b-main he failed to reach a transfer spot as his weekend came to an early end.

World of Outlaws action took Fisher to Independence Motor Speedway (Independence, Iowa) on Monday evening for a $10,000-to-win race. Thirty-two entries were on hand for the race, and while he failed to qualify for the feature via heat race action Fisher stormed to the win in his b-main to lock into the 18th starting spot for the 50 lap finale at the 3/8 mile oval. Unfortunately his outing in the feature came to an early end, when all of the tear offs on his helmet came off on lap 3, forcing him to retire from the event.

Fisher concluded his tour of the north on Tuesday evening at West Liberty Raceway (West Liberty, Iowa) with a $10,000-to-win, unsanctioned event. Twenty-four entries registered for battle, and struggles in heat race action left him starting on the tail of the field for the 50 lap finale. Despite starting at the back of the field Clay mounted a great charge in the feature on his way to a 9th place finish!
