On Saturday evening the team traveled to "The Baddest Bullring in the South" Columbus Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) for a $2,500-to-win program that was sanctioned by the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS). Twenty entries were on hand, and after winning his qualifier he started tenth on the grid for the 50 lap finale. As the race went green he began working his way forward through the field, and by the time the white flag flew he was in the second spot. It appeared that he would be on his way to a runner-up finish, but the leader, Chris Wall, encountered trouble with a lapped car, which allowed Fisher to slip past to take the lead and the win, which was the first of the year and the biggest of his career! Wall, Chad Thrash, Eric Cooley, and Neil Baggett rounded out the top five finishers. Full results are available at www.StateSeries.com. The team concluded the weekend on Sunday evening at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) with a Weekly Racing Series Event at the 3/8 mile oval. Twenty-seven Super Late Models entered the program, and Clay raced to a fourth place finish behind race winner, Eric Cooley, Rick Rickman, and Mike Boland. Full results from the program are available at www.MagnoliaDirt.com. May 11th, 2013 - The team traveled to Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) on Saturday evening for a Weekly Racing Series Event at the 1/4 mile oval in his #99 Fisher Transportation Services/Mastersbilt/Kuntz & Co. Racing Engine Super Late Model. Struggles in time trials left Fisher starting tenth on the grid for his heat race before advancing to a sixth place finish. In the main event Fisher advanced one spot to a fifth place finish behind race winner, Doug Showah, Jamie Elam, Ross Camponovo, and Dwayne Estes. Full results from the event are available at www.GreenvilleSpeedway.net.
Action opened on Friday night at the recently opened Timberline Speedway (Corley, Texas) as a talented field of thirty-eight entries filled the pit area. A second place finish in his heat race locked Clay into the tenth starting spot for the feature. On a rubbered-up track, where passing was extremely difficult Fisher recorded a twelfth place finish in the 35 lap finale. Saturday saw the team invading Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana) as another stacked field of forty-four Super Late Models jammed the pit area. Preliminary action found Fisher falling short of locking into the feature, but a second place finish in his b-main locked him into the twentieth starting spot for the main event. He would go on to advance to a seventeenth place finish. Full results from both events are available at www.COMPDirt.com.
