March 14th, 2014 - Clay Fisher opened his 2014 season on Friday night in the 4th Annual Pelican 100 at Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana). The unsanctioned event was originally scheduled as a two-day, $10,000-to-win program, but officials made the decision to cut it to a one-day, $5,000-to-win event due to a threatening weather forecast for the remainder of the weekend.

A talented field of fifty-one Super Late Model competitors entered the program. Clay missed the transfer into the 50 lap main event via heat race action. As a result he started deep in a b-main and failed to reach a transfer spot into the feature.
