June 30th, 2017 - Clay Fisher made his first start of the season on Friday night piloting the Fisher Transportation #99 Super Late Model at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) for the COMP Camps Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) sanctioned program. With 31 cars registered in for battle, Fisher held his spot in his 8-lap heat to place 5th, transferring him into the B-Main. Needing a 2nd place finish or better to make the opening night feature, Clay was making his move towards the front until he suffered a broken right-front tire rod after scrapping the turn 4 wall. As he was coming to a stop, another competitor smashed into Fisher’s car from behind destroying the #99 machine. Able to walk away uninjured from the scary collision, Clay’s weekend came to an abrupt and disappointing end.
