March 24, 2018 - Friday night found Clay Fisher in action at Columbus Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) for the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series sanctioned Mud Bug Classic. Earning the 14th-starting spot for the $2,000-to-win A-Main via preliminary events, Fisher passed five cars in the 30-lapper to place 9th.

The following night at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi), Clay recorded the seventh fastest time in qualifying before placing 6th in his B-Main. Rolling off 19th for the feature, Fisher dropped back to a 20th place outing after bringing out a caution on lap-20.

March 17, 2018 - Clay Fisher made the trip to Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) on Saturday evening kicking of the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) season. With 21 Super Late Models registered in for action, Fisher recorded the ninth fastest time in qualifying locking his spot into the $2,500-to-win A-Main. After a mix-up with race officials pushed Clay back to the 14th-starting position, Fisher improved ten spots in the 40-lap affair to place 4th behind Tyler Erb, Tommy Surrett, and Chad Thrash with Dean Carpenter coming in 5th.
