January 19, 2020 - On Wednesday evening for the third round of the Wild West Shootout at FK Rod Ends Arizona Speedway (Queen Creek, Arizona), Clay Fisher edged his way into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with the 4th and final transfer spot in his heat race. Starting in 16th, Fisher suffered mechanical issues that forced him to retire on lap 16.

After having an off day on Thursday, Fisher posted a 7th place finish in his heat race on Friday night sending him into the B-Main. Grabbing the 4th and final transfer spot, Clay locked into the 24th-starting position for the A-Main. With $5,000 on the line, Clay Fisher improved five spots to place 19th.

On Saturday evening, Clay came one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a 5th place finish. Recording a 3rd place finish in his B-Main, Fisher earned the 22nd-starting position for the final $5,000-to-win A-Main. Passing eight cars in the 25-lap affair, Clay reeled in a 14th place finish. For the final round of the 14th annual Wild West Shootout on Sunday, Fisher followed up a 6th place finish in his heat with a 4th place finish in his consolation event. Starting the $15,000-to-win finale in 24th, Clay passed nine cars in the 50-lapper to register a 15th place outing.

January 12, 2020 - Clay Fisher kicked off the 2020 season on Saturday night at FK Rod Ends Arizona Speedway (Queen Creek, Arizona) for the 14th annual Wild West Shootout. Drawing 46 Late Models, Fisher fell one spot short of a transfer position in his heat race with a 4th place finish. Coming in 2nd in his B-Main behind Earl Pearson Jr., Clay earned the 21st-starting position for the opening night feature. The following night, Clay logged an 8th place finish in his heat transferring him into the B-Main. Failing to place 3rd or better, Fisher had one last shot at the $5,000-to-win A-Main with the Pro Power Dash. Sending the race-winner into the show, Clay recorded a 3rd place finish.
